The third release on Instructional Media is a split release from Atlanta, USA’s Claire and Denmark’s Stefan Blomeier.

Worlds Beside Worlds is realised as a project where the artists worked in tandem and in collaboration with each other over the internet to create a sense of parallel unity throughout the record.

Claire is the new project of Elise Tippins of Featureless Ghost (Night People/Crash Symbols) and Fantastic Lands (visuals for Ruralfaune, Wet Hair, Fit of Body etc.). Late night synthesizers creep up on dark jacking beats, evoking a midnight cruise through a city where the lights are bright but vacant.

Abstracted from traditional pop structure, Claire uses primal metronomy as her guide, moving with the pulse to wherever it takes her as layers of sound cascade around a sleek 707 heart-beat.

Stefan Blomeier (Ruralfaune/Lux Rec) is an enigmatic musician - details of whom are sparse. Having previously appeared on The Instructional Media Guide To Mindful Internet Exploration, Blomeier returns with this offering of crystal pure synthesis. Transcending the ‘new-age’, these recordings are brutalist in nature; protruding oscillations through a sea of unheard rhythms. At times, they express a joyous frivolousness, and at others, an appreciation for subtlety and precision - but consistently, the listener is transported to a world where beautiful machines’ souls resonate loud enough for us to hear.
